Focus and Scope

Women, Gender, and Families of Color is a multidisciplinary journal that centers the study of Вlack, Latinx, Indigenous, and Asian American women, genders, and families. Within this framework, the journal encourages theoretical and empirical research from the social and behavioral sciences and the humanities. It welcomes comparative and transnational research as well as analyses of domestic social, cultural, political, and economic policies and practices.

Peer Review Process

Manuscripts accepted for review are typically evaluated by at least two peers in a blind-review process.  Reviewers are asked to evaluate a manuscript based on the following general criteria: (1) appropriateness for WGFC (2) contribution to the literature (3) presentation (4) quality of review of literature, theoretical, and methodological approaches.  Editors strive to complete the review process within 3 months from date of submission.
